In BJJ we went over passing the guard with a knee slide over the thigh again. After, we drilled the Omoplata submission. I now know 3 different submissions and they are all shoulder/shoulder-elbow locks. I still haven't had an opportunity to use them in sparring because I'm just trying to survive. Just survive.
Today I survived in the turtle position for the first time. I was rolling vs a blue belt and he couldn't do much I was set. I made a mistake a went for a leg and the blue eventually turned my mistake into a choke. Whoops! To me, being a white belt is all about mistakes... and surviving. I almost worked in an Americana on one of my rolls vs another white belt, however he muscled out of it and instead of muscling back i let his arm free... I figure I need to know the technique and I am trying to retard myself until I have some techniques DOWN.
So I've been avoiding using my wrestling stuff (most of the time). I still use it for takedowns.
A blue that I rolled with my very first time (my very first blue) rolled again with me today. Afterward he said that I am much better than when I started!
